MICROSCOPIC DEBURRING
MICROSCOPIC DEBURRING
If the part includes critical features or tight tolerances, then a more precise method needs to be used such as microscopic-deburring or micro-abrading. A multi-step process can start with a specific media tumble, micro glass bead blast or sometimes a chemical etch and the final operation typically a manual hand deburr under 5x-20x magnification.
At IDC we have developed reliable and repeatable microscopic deburring tools and processes. Combined with our measurement capabilities we can verify the success of the micro deburr operation.
There are several methods for deburring and removing sharp edges. IDC has the capability to both vibratory and rotary tumble or abrasive blast non-critical parts for a cost-effective solution.
